Dear members of SHAPE America’s Adapted P.E. Special Interest Group (SIG),
We hope you will be able to join us at this year’s National Convention & Expo in Salt Lake City, UT, April 21–25! I am writing to share an important update with you regarding programming for the Adapted P.E. SIG.
As you know, the Claudine Sherrill Breakfast has long been a mainstay of the SHAPE America APE program at national convention. In order to ensure it is accessible to all, we are now making this event the Claudine Sherrill Adapted Physical Education Distinguished Lecture and Awards. Because there will not be a breakfast included with this event, attending will be free of charge and we hope to see all of you there.
Please note the event will continue on the same day and time as the former breakfast meeting and is open to all SHAPE members with an interest in APE. Following the lecture, three awards will be presented: Outstanding APE Graduate Student, Program of the Year, and the Julian Stein Lifetime Achievement Award. The APE Business meeting will continue to remain separate from the Lecture and Awards.
Finally, we need your feedback! The Chairs of the APE SIG would like to hear from you on topics of interest to SHAPE America APE members and possible speakers for the first Distinguished lecture. Please complete this three question survey using the attached link http://bit.ly/SpeakerPreference by the close of business on Friday, December 17, 2019.
Thank you and we hope to see you in Salt Lake City!Recommend0 recommendationsPublished in
